When I arrived at “At Home in Brooklyn” I instantly understood how this name was chosen. It is a beautiful Brownstone right in front of Prospect Park and when I first stepped in I’ve got excited like a little kid. Every room and every corner is renovated and decorated with love and a true sense for style. I rarely felt that welcome in a hotel before. Don and Marco spare no effort to make every guest feel comfortable and they provide you with tips and an unbelievable good breakfast. Each morning, they offer a continental breakfast made from fresh, locally-grown organic ingredients and products including fresh juice and smoothies. There has been an extensive assortment of books of all kind, a movie library and a living room. With four rooms in total, At home in Brooklyn is a very intimate little guesthouse. Metro Lines 2 and 3 are just a few minutes away and Park Slope is a beautiful neighbourhood with loads of restaurants, cafes and shops. I really can’t recommend this place enough. And with rates that starts at 175$ per night, you get the best value for money in my opinion. As you can tell: I can’t recommend that place enough. Reason probably is that what they say on their website is absolutely true: “where guests feel as if they are residents and not just visiting”.
