414 Hotel is located in Hells Kitchen which is in Midtown and therefore an ideal location to explore the whole city. It’s just a 5 to 10 Minute walk to Times Square but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle which is very nice. Also, you’ll find some nice and individual shops and restaurants around (I’ll name some of them in a separate post). The double room has been spacious and freshly renovated. The bed was very good and there are plenty of possibilities to plug in your devices via USB and charge them so that you don’t even need a converter which is really handy. Breakfast is included and consits of bagels, cereals, bread, cream cheese, sweet spreads, fresh fruit and really, really good coffee. They have this Jura coffee machine where you can take a cup whenever you need some extra energy for exploring the city. If the weather is nice you can even have your cup in the courtyard, looking at the Brownstones and fireladders which are so typical for the city. Every day at 5pm theres a get together with free wine and cheese where you can have a chat with the other guests. The whole atmosphere is just really welcoming and warm. Everybody we met has been very kind and helpful. 414 Hotel is rated one of the top ten Hotels in New York on Tripadvisor and I can really see why. The value for money is excellent and the location a dream if you want to explore this beautiful city. Rooms start at around 230€ at Booking.com.
